Our PhotoWalk @ Downtown Disney, this past Sunday evening, was great! Although we had a small turnout (despite holding this event later than the "wee hours" of the morning), it was a pleasant and mild evening, which made for a casual walk. The thrill for the evening was our being tailed by Disneyland Security for a while. No kidding! Evidently they noticed us taking photos of various architectural, structural, and security features of Downtown Disney and got curious. I noticed several uniformed security personnel that seemed to have our group "triangulated" and, as we continued on our walk, I then noticed one person in street clothes following and observing us - obviously one of their undercover personnel. Eventually, one of the managers came up to me to ask if we were a photography class. We had a small discussion, where I explained that we were simply a group of people that loved photography and were on a photowalk. The manager was very professional and courteous and, possibly after seeing that our group posed no real threat (after all, we were made up of an elementary school-age kid, as well as two ladies in motorized wheelchairs), we parted on good terms - I even gave him one of our cards that links to OCFA.
After the walk we had drinks at Jamba Juice (except for myself, choosing to have a chocolate covered pretzel instead).
The other big news was that there were some sightings of
Dufflepuds! (see
here,
here, and
here)
Check some samples of our walk below, or check out the
Picasa Web Album for a larger sampling.
